Christmas is a time of giving

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing with those around us and 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s students in Prep to Year 2 were delighted to be able to share the story of the birth of Jesus with parents and teachers at the P-2 Nativity Play during their final weeks of school.

The Prep students stole the show with their enactment of the nativity of Jesus. Dressed as sheep, angels, shepherds, Three Wise “Ladies”, the Christmas star and an adorable, waving donkey that trotted many laps around Bethlehem, our young 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s girls were so eloquent in their delivery of this Christmas story.

The play was accompanied by a choir of angelic Years 1 and 2 voices, conducted by Ms Regina Brennan. The primary school leaders for 2021, Georgia Smith and Ellen Robinson, were announced at the commencement of the event and the girls were thrilled to take on one of their first official leadership roles, as MCs.

The Nativity Play was a wonderful opportunity to share in the spirit of Christmas with students, teachers and families but was also an opportunity to acknowledge the primary community’s efforts to help those not as fortunate that could use a helping hand. Through the efforts of the primary Colour Fun Run held earlier in the year, 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s was able to raise $10,000 to continue their support of One Horizon, a school in Narobi, Kenya, as well as the Zephyr Education Foundation, which assists children affected by domestic violence get back to school.
