168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s has been named Employer of Choice for 2021 by The Educator, affirming its commitment to recruiting, engaging and developing the highest quality staff.
The Educator’s inaugural Five Star Employer of Choice report recognises Australia’s best schools from the perspective of employee experience.
From a flood of submissions, The Educator handpicked 25 schools that have gone above and beyond to support staff through an especially trying time.
Principal Ms Ros Curtis said the recognition was an acknowledgment of the collegial culture developed at 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s over many years.
“It is an incredible honour to be acknowledged as a workplace where people want to come to work every day and where collectively everyone is working towards our goal of delivering academic excellence and innovation.
“I am very proud of the strength and quality of our staff and our strong leadership who together continue to pioneer innovation across all areas of teaching and learning,” Ms Curtis said.
A key focus of 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s latest strategic plan is to further develop the school’s staff development program so that each staff member can aspire to be their professional best.
The school has adopted a number of initiatives to achieve this vision, including mentoring staff through achieving their individual career and professional development plans and nurturing a learning community that celebrates creative ideas, active engagement and critical thinking.
Among these initiatives is 168¿ª½±¹ÙÍø’s Centre of Teaching and Learning Excellence (CeTLE) which was developed to offer a range of professional development opportunities to teaching staff.
